IFPRI-ESARO has involved in reviewing the Rural Capacity Building Program (RCBP) of Ethiopia.
The major objectives/activities of the project include research of knowledge management systems in India, which supports the development of the IKP Center for Advancement of Agricultural Practice (ICAAP) knowledge management portal, and capacity strengthening activities to then support the use of the portal by knowledge intermediaries in Indian agriculture.

The objective of the Worldwide Extension Study (WWES), is to collect empirical data on the human and financial resources of agricultural extension and advisory systems worldwide. In-depth studies are carried out, which analyze pluralistic extension systems, including an assessment of the strategy and performance of the different extension service providers.
